Revolving Doors: Lauren

One of the things I love most about having a physical location versus just a website are the people I meet.

This is Lauren Martin.  She stopped in earlier this week with a whole group of young adults that were biking across the U.S. to raise money for cancer.

The city had just finished the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo parade and I had stayed open late for the event.  It was now 8:30 pm and I stepped out to close up shop for the night.  As I was closing the door I see this group of college-age kids walking across the street and the most enthusiastic lady go, “awwwwww!”.  I giggled and shouted out to her to come on in.  She skipped across the street and ran on in.  I love to be around enthusiastic people.  We talked for awhile as she shared about their trip across the U.S. on their bikes.

I am always so encouraged to see young adults going above and beyond to experience adventure and also looking beyond themselves.  So I say to Lauren:  “Way to go Girl!”.  I’m proud of you and I wish you success and safety on the rest of your adventure.
